Marks our centenary,

A hundred year strong history

Of boys dreaming to sail the high seas

And navigating on the docks

Proud men who stand for love, bravery and courage

To face the fears of life

The headmaster of this school is Mr Dastagir,

Who has formed a close knit family of 650 students

Located on the sensational South Bank

And blessed by the majestic St Paul’s Cathedral

This community stands by

Tamesis Suos Ubique Feret

The Thames shall carry her sons everywhere,

Boys stand proud

Boys stand tall

Boys stand brave

Standing by the mast ready for the Thames

To determine where we shall go.

BBC School News Report By: Liam.A

Hello!

This is Liam here and I am here to talk to you about the BBC NEWS Reporters coming to the London Nautical School.

They came to this school at the morning.

The reporters started to film during our parade.

The parade that we do is when the teacher, Mr Bullar (Head of Nautical) stands in the front middle whilst the students stand in lines within our form groups.

There are four groups in a year. There is year 7 and year 8 so 8 groups altogether.

Whilst we were doing our parade, the reporters were filming us and another reporter took photos.

After the parade the photographer took pictures of some of us.

THE LONDON NAUTICAL SCHOOL

London Nautical Centenary
The London Nautical school was an orphanage over a century ago. London Nautical was transformed into one of the best schools in London. This year,2015, we are celebrating 100 years of this amazing school’s founding.

London Nautical has transformed great sportsmen such as Jeff Probyn who is now a professional rugby player for England’s international. John Bostock is Crystal Palace’s youngest ever player and Marcus Bettenelli is a professional goalkeeper for Fulham.

Hello. This is Liam here and I have just recently joined Splash 2 weeks ago. The Splash team and I research historical events around theLondon Nautical school’s background and events that have happened here.

Recently I have learnt that this school used to be an orphanage before the school was founded in 1915. Since 100 years has past we are celebrating the centenary in 2015.

London Nautical School Centenary 1915-2015 By Tobias S.

London Nautical School is a unique school as it is the only school left in London which offers nautical studies to the pupils of the school. This year is a very special year to the school as it is the 100 year centenary of the school. The school was put up in the memory of the Titanic disaster to stop things like this happening again.

As it is the 100 year centenary the BBC are coming on Friday 6 march 2015 to do a news report of the London Nautical School.
