Nautical Day – Andre.B 8W1S

This year was the 100th year anniversary of The London Nautical School which started because of the tragic shipwreck of the Titanic. To celebrate this anniversary Year 8 was split into different groups. My group had Miss Adam for the whole day and we created a banner to tell everyone about our school centenary. We first had to design what we would want to have on the banner. We then wrapped 3 A1 cardboard paper with a cream colored paper to draw on. After that, we started off by drawing a river through the whole banner vertically and different groups drew on the 3 different banners how they wanted on their banner. I decided to draw the school’s logo and turned it into a 100 to tell everyone it is our centenary.

I came last  because he let Junior beat him. we finished our races in the morning.I beat all my friends in discus. Diogo  threw the discus 8.10m Nicolas  threw 8.15m then I threw 8.33m.

The Banter Race! By Liam

Hello! During Sport’s Day, there was a race that over 20 year eights took part in. We were all just walking and jogging at most parts and just having a laugh! It was very enjoyable since it was my last race before the finals of which I was not part of. It was a 800 metre race. At the end, me and Junior.K were at the end. We both were going to sprint and race each other but then it started to rain heavily so I just stopped and walked slowly for banter and came last on purpose for banter purposes only.

Sports day was a really fun day! I ran 400 metres and 800 metres and took part in the long jump.

I felt great after taking part in the  races and the day was a memorable event in the school calendar.

If I Was The Prime Minister Of The Schools By Liam A.

If I was prime minister I would raise the school’s funding higher so children could get better education. I would also only let teachers who can discipline students so the students don’t get away with unacceptable behavior. I would also add loads of CCTV in all schools so if anything inappropriate happens then we can  at the cameras.

Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day/V-Day) By Andre.B 8W1S

VE Day 9VE Day 3

The 8th of May is a very important day for Britain and the world. The reason for this being, the surrendering of Germany’s armed forces, thus marking the end of WWII in Europe.

VE Day 2VE Day 4VE Day 5

This was such a big day for the UK! Over 1 million people celebrated on the streets of London on this day in 1945.

VE Day 8       VE Day 6    VE Day 7

This day is also very important for us because if Germany did not surrender, Hitler would rule and kill everyone who does not have blonde hair and blue eyes and those who were Jewish.

My Amazing Day By Frankie.T

I had lots of fun talking part in the School News Report Day with BBC and I have also really enjoyed working with the Splash team. To be a part of the Splash team is an honour because you get opportunities unlike other people in our school we get to have people from the BBC coming to talk to us about what they do and have to be great writers. I would defiantly recommend Splash to everyone.

MY EXPERIENCE! (ALI.Q)

2015-03-19 10.46.05

I had fun taking part in the BBC school’s news report day as we really got to express our individual feelings through interviews and cameras. All of the work we have developed through the time of being apart of Splash was finally presented by all of it’s artists and we all loved every part of being rewarded for doing classwork. Splash has been a great experience as well as the schools news report day which took place on the 19th march 2015. I’m looking forward to the rest of the year with my talented and creative Splash team. 2015 has been amazing in enrichment and I hope it’s like this every year.
