Feedback on Splash

This year I have really enjoyed in taking part in the Splash program. Over all the things we have done I most enjoyed writing about the votes and reviewing movies. Splash assists young students to develop their English skills and extends their vocabulary. It is a great opportunity and I highly recommend joining this group that the school provides.

What I look forward to next term-Andre.B

At the end of year 8, I would be looking forward to knowing how well I have been progressing throughout the term. The reason for this is that I want to know what areas I need to improve on and what subjects I am good at. I am also looking forward to being in year 9 because there will be new challenges and maybe even new teachers to adapt to new learning styles.

My Splash Experience! By Nicholas O.A

I have Experienced Quite a lot In Splash. For Example I have Experienced how to: Be an Witness In Court, Discuss who we would vote for In the General Election. We even got some of the BBC School News Report Team to come and Interview us!

In the General Election, we Talked about all the Parties and Discussed who we would’ve voted for and why. Then we Typed it up! Most of the Things I’ve done in Splash have been Enjoyable but my Favourite things by Far has been when the BBC School News came to Interview us and when we was In our own court case! Personally I think that it was good not only for us to improve our Negotiation and Speaking Skills (with both the BBC School News and the Court Case) but to also allow us to work together as a Team. (At the Court Case)

I have had an Amazing time at Splash this year and if I could then I would join it again next year

My splash highlights

My highlights of spending almost nearly a year with the splash team is a mix as a variety of lessons have taught me but also were creative and innovative.examples of such brilliance could be the time we held our own court case where i posed as the judge .it all went accordingly giving me and my colleges a view and insight of a court case .i have also been at the base of the art work (graffiti) in splash.my talented skills had also rubbed of on a few interested colleges as ,as a group we went on developing as artists.(feel free to browse at the work).as i become a better reporter and develop my journalistic skills the next half of the term i’d like to be as strong of a reporter as i can be .

My experience at splash-By Daniel.C

This term has been a great term, learning new things. We were working on lots of things like the general election, we were pretending that we were different party’s and we debating on which party is better. The next week, we were pretending that we were in court and that Harry was the victim and Sammy was the accused. I was Harry’s lawyer .when we finished the jury had to decide and the end Sammy was       guilty.

This term has been the best!

Highlight of the year BY HARRY S

The highlight of my year has been representing my school at Fulham’s home ground Craven Cottage. Unfortunately we lost 4-0, but it was a great experience to enjoy. Also, i felt like a professional football player when I was walking out of the tunnel.

My Splash Experience By Samuel M.D

I have enjoyed splash especially when we were learning about General Election because it was my favourite part of learning. In Splash, we always use computer to look fact about the event that happened such as General Election and BBC News School Report Day. In BBC News School Report Day on Thursday 19th March 2015, we were making a BBC News School Report for 4 hours.

Then we were focus on the topic about General Election and talking about different political party such as Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrats, UKIP( UK Independence Party), Green Party and SNP(Scottish National Party). We learned that I have to be over 18 to vote.

What I like to do in the next topic is to do the next event that will happening around the world. So I would make facts about what happened at the next half term. Also I would like to learn about languages in Europe such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Danish and Dutch.

my splash experience By Tadzio.C

i have thoroughly enjoyed splash as it has had some amusing and interesting experience that i would have never experienced until my adult life such as how to write a newspaper/magazine. Although nearly all of splash was exciting i have narrowed it down to a top 3 experiences in splash so without any further ado i will now tell you.

3.the website drawing board: the main reason i enjoyed this are of splash is that it taught me a new way of practical thinking and also ways to try to appeal to a larger audience. it taught me everything from what colour to get peoples attention all the way to how to try to incite an older more mature audience while keeping the younger audience entertained still.

2.the Splash “day” out on the news day in splash we posted our reports on a few incidents that matter to us such as would the titanic have survived with modern day technology or the debate on the schools 6th form having the privilege of drink machines. or even why the music and 6th form rooms have the fastest computers and why technological information have the slowest.

1.the Sammy.D chair theft court case: a lot of you the viewers are unaware of the moment that Sammy.D had stolen a chair belonging to Harry.S this moment was so tense it needed to be settled by a lesson long court case where the judge Seydu and the members of the jury me-Tadzio, Nicolas and Tobias. in the end the verdict was clear Sammy.D was guilty as charged and sentenced to a one hour after school detention.

in the near future I am hoping to achieve many things such as to add a GCSE page to gain the upper school years interest along with adding a new puzzle corner post weekly however this will be fairly difficult to source but I recon me and the splash team could allow it to happen. fortunately i have recently found some useful sources for the puzzle corner and also we are trying to get some of the maths teachers to give us some past papers for the GCSE section .
